The dry ice blasting process is the modern and non-aggressive way of restoring your beams back to their natural state. We are finding clients now want to remove the paint and the stains from their original beams which instantly creates a lighter and fresher feel to the room.

Our research has found that sometimes clients decide to repaint the original beam with a lighter colour but after time this can cause the paint to flake and cause even more damage.
When Sandblasting cannot be used
In many industries Sandblasting is not an option currently, as it is a messy abrasive process that cannot be used on the beams without causing more damage to the soft grain.
Dry ice blasting is a non-abrasive process, which simply removes the coating off the beams because as the ice impacts the surface it sends the area into thermal shock and cracks within its self-whilst still not causing any damage to the surface which its blasting. This is a versatile gentle process which introduces no secondary waste stream the only waste that’s created is that of the paint on the beams.
The beams redeem their character
The process simply lifts the unaesthetic and unveils the true colours of the wood. All carpenter and apotropaic marks stay in perfect condition. This process truly will transform the space and once again the beams within the property can again become the main feature and talking point. After we have completed the blasting, The beams will return to their original and natural state but keep their character.
